		Ed. Note: The name Tintagel (pronounced... well, pronounced differently by just about everybody, and butchered by many) came from a small town in Britain where one of the T.O.B.'s spent a lot of time as a kid. It is rumored to be the birthplace of King Arthur.



		aaaTintagel Media began in 1998 when Two Old Buds decided to start a business. One was heard to say to the other, "Hey! Let's design software!" So that's what they did. They thought it was a really good idea. They made software for kids, producing educational titles for government clients. Here are links to one of their favorite projects of all: Education Station Education Station II aaa Alas, turns out that it wasn't such a good idea. The Two Old Buds were far too lazy to deal with the demanding timelines and scheduling hassles that are part and parcel of curriculum software design. They liked the creative part, but not the endless programming part. So they took the tens of millions they made (in pennies, that is), looked around for the coolest fantasy artist they could find (Larry Elmore), and said this to him: "Hey, want to make a book?" He eyed them with pity, but said, "yep." The Two Old Buds, surprised, said, "really?" Well, the rest is history. I mean, not a very long history, but it's something, right? aaa So, the lazy Old Buds decided that this was what they were destined for: producing excellent quality art books and products for fans of the top names in fantasy art. Contrary to the advice of much smarter people, they truly enjoy spending that few extra bucks to make a product really special. As for you reading this, over the next several months you will see the Two Old Buds do exactly that. They like great artists, and they love great art.
